Pros

Lots of interesting work, good pay and opportunity.

Cons

They seem to have gone on the age and race discrimination band wagon. If you are Asian and young you will fit in. Old white guys need not apply if you are young this might be the place for you

Thank you for sharing your feedback from your time at MaxLinear. I think our teams would agree with you that the work here is interesting (and cutting-edge) but we are surprised that you felt our workforce wasn’t diverse. We have employees from a broad range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds and in all age ranges. And, as our careers page shows on our website, we are actively recruiting for positions throughout the company for both junior level roles and quite senior level positions. We wish you the best moving forward.

Pros

Learn a lot in a short period of time. Great start to a great career at Broadcom.

Cons

Long hours with less pay. With the amount of hours put in you will only end up making minimum wage. Employees are always stressed out due to unrealistic timelines which creates a terrible work environment.

Pros

You'll get to work with good people and interesting projects. Truly some of the best people I've worked with in my career are/were at this company. I think pay is fairly competitive, provided stock is doing well, which is tends to not.

Cons

The biggest issue I see is the upper management in the VP to CEO level. They seem to have no idea what is going on. People complain about the lack of resources, low morale, crummy work environment and their complaints fall on deaf ears. Extremely project-critical people leave left and right for these reasons. It's really not that hard -- LISTEN TO THE EMPLOYEES, the CEO needs to stay humble and stop being so aggressive and arrogant and stop blaming engineers for failures at the top level. It's time for new management. They try to cut every expenditure, save pennies on the dollar to not provide anything for the employees. Time to wake up, the industry is very competitive and people will just simply find work elsewhere, where they are more appreciated and the company takes care of them. Driving people away and saying "they weren't needed anyways" is not how you run a company, I don't see how this is "investing in the future" as the CEO has stated before.
