Pros

Money, if your in a good office and good resume building training/experience in various fields such as payroll, billing and coding, management, scheduling, human resource, outside sales misc. even though most of these items I had to discover via trial and error and research due to incompetent management.

Cons

long hours, incompetent management, demanding on call 24/7, stress-full and life consuming because all you can think about is your patients and nurses from being on-call, Flu Season you will have no life in a home-care office

My local Maxim has a near monopoly on private duty cases, flu clinics, etc in the area - thus lots of work was available.

Cons

young guys who ran office terribly unorganized. constant communication problems. They were always so "nice" but that does not make up for incompetence! their lack of organization/communication would make the nurse look very bad. Talking with them was always frustrating because they would not understand the issue - they did not seem to understand nurses and health care. low pay. no raise even after working there for several years.
