Good customer service experience Free tea Good communication among managers

Cons

Barely any employee discount on food minimum wage It's fast casual, so you're not a waiter taking orders, getting tips. Working as cashier, serving food if you're in front of house. Not necessarily a con, just something to think about.

The schedule was great. The would work around other jobs and school. The location was great and got to meet a ton of people.

Cons

The pay was barely minimum wage. The didn't offer any type of benefits except to a certain few. Management was unprofessional.

I have always loved restaurant management, but couldn't find the right fit for me...this year I joined McAlister's and that changed. The franchise I work for, The Saxton Group, is very involved in the community and supporting our local schools and organizations. That in turn has earned us a lot of respect from our city, and I feel proud to be part of this team. It's challenging, fast-paced, and fun. McAlister's treats it's employees with a great deal of respect, and that in turn makes happy workers. It's so much easier to provide amazing customer service when your team is happy to be at work.

Cons

There is always so much to do that you need to be really great at multi-tasking or something will be forgotten. I use post-its....A LOT...to make sure I get everything done. You have to come into work with a plan every day. If you aren't organized, this isn't for you.
