Pros

Excellent workplace culture and exchange Educational opportunites and career path development are abundant. Management was accessiible and supportive.

Cons

Increased project duties and deadlines were exacerbated by increased micromanagement. As with many companies during this economic climate, budgets were tightening.

Pros

This is a very big company with a solid and very stable future. Great benifits, lots of opportunity to gain experience.

Cons

Thought I was compensated well, discovered that I was not paid as well as in other industries. Actually didn't figure that out until a new hire came in at a director level. I saw that his talents are not on par with mine... that prompted me to look around and discovered that I should actually be making about 30% more... It's too bad really, I was happy until I leaned how ignorance is bliss... Employees tend to hold several titles in name only and are generally paid for the lower of the titles... For example, a product manager who is not really a "product manager" by title, wouldn't get the product manager bonus handed out each quarter.... I know!!!! Still, a good company to work for, just wish they would pay better and compensate for the work performed. You should still jump at a chance to work here... just be sure the T gets crossed and the I gets dotted.

Pros

There are some very dedicated people that want to make a difference at McKesson. Benefits are on par with most companies.

Cons

In the clinical area, you better watch your back. Its the good old boy network. Your ideas will be dismissed, only to have them introduced by others as their own idea. The services team (Clinical) is in total disarray. Upper management is getting rid or forcing out all the good people. The "yes" folks are left to run the show. The clinical team has a huge morale problem with most resources looking for other jobs. No passion from upper management on making a difference for their Customers or employees. They are focused on the business numbers rather than changing the game. Seems like this group will not be successful.
