Pros

A great pro to me is that the company has a outstanding center for learning. The opportunities that you have to expand your skillset are truly limited only by the individual. They even have tuition reimbursement to assist in training, certification or degree advancement outside of the company's other programs. By making sure that a person has the right skillset and contacts they could probably have unlimited opportunities to advance their career at the company.

Cons

The mentoring program is not company wide and not structured the same in each division leading to strong or weak program depending on your division. Some of the support/networking groups for employees to participate in seem to be focused on certain offices and not widely advertised leading to exclusion for certain areas or inadequate notice of an event. The lines between job duties are too blurred in some divisions and causes undue stress from work overload. Seems like unsuccessful programs/policies still get pushed to the extreme if it has the correct backing, even if they are obvious failures. Possibly caused by inadequate planning/testing.

Pros

- The senior leadership team has been in places for several years, creating credibility with shareholders and the marketplace - Generally speaking, the workforce is passionate and easygoing - There's a significant number of opportunities across the company, making it possible to move around both geographically and functionally

Cons

- Executive compensation creates a real difference between top execs and the rest of the workforce, resulting in a hierarchical culture - The company is very consensus driven, which causesdecisions to happen slowly. If you operate in the lower levels, you may feel that you are handcuffed by the people above needing to "weigh-in" on everything - The company doesn't foster a strong internal culture - creating so-so morale. Some groups do a better job than others, but on the whole, you don't feel connected to your co-workers outside of your immediate work group.

Pros

-Good culture -Decent pay -Most employees are hard working and good to work with

Cons

-Company is very inconsistent with what money is spent on. On one hand, let's endlessly cost cut and prevent hiring, but on the other hand, let's spend a lot on an internal conference, needlessly fly people all around the country for meetings, and pay our CEO $45 million a year. -Boring industry -Lots of silos and politics -Benefits are poor for such a large company
