This is a good place to start, but please pay more!
Pros
You can work as many hours as you want up to the legal maximum. Co-workers are mostly very friendly. Scheduling can be flexible and work with you if you get on their good side. Volunteer programs which allow you to volunteer days off for bonuses (available during peak seasons.) Paid CDL training (you have to stay for 6 months due to the contract you sign.) A wide array of different routes to choose from (once you get the seniority.) The only reason I recommend this place is because of the CDL training. This is a good place to start.
Cons
Low pay! 10.50 an hour for charter drivers, 12.50 for route drivers. You can make tips on some charter routes, but that's all luck based. When you first start, your schedule will be extremely rough. Most likely your first "bid" will be charter board, which means you can literally be put on anything at any time. Good news is the turnover rate is so high, your seniority will rise fairly fast. I went up nearly 150 spots in one year. Also the buses aren't well maintained as far as roached go, and the shuttle vans used for transporting drivers to different route locations are extremely dirty with roaches. Buses have issues oftentimes, as the mechanics are understaffed for similar reasons. (They try their best though.) Oh yeah. You will NOT get paid overtime either. You can work up to 70 hours in a 8 day period, but it will all be base pay. Many drivers complain of being exhausted due to long hours just to afford to make ends meet, and it's not going to change.
