Pros

Really can’t be trusted Won’t hesitate to do anything that makes them more money even if it’s at the expense of the employees

Cons

Terrible compensation Don’t care about employees All they care about is making the share holder’s money Staff is viewed as a consumable resource- they would rather burn through staff (because it’s cheaper) and hire new people than take care of the people that currently work there Don’t be fooled by their facade- there’s a reason for the high staff turnover, all they care about is making money at the expense of the employees

Thank you for sharing your feedback, our employee experience is very important and we are continuously investing in our employees to enable our teams to deliver the MedVet Experience to our Patient, Clients, and Referral Partners. Since January 2021 we have hired over 500 new clinical services team members with more than half of those were in Nursing and ER, where our needs are the greatest. In addition to ensuring new team members are brought in at a competitive compensation rate, we have made several investments in additional base compensation and bonuses for our existing clinical services team members over the past three years. In 2021, we announced opportunities for our doctors to participate in a new compensation and benefit plan, including student debt repayment, a guaranteed base that is paid semi-monthly, additional paid time-off, and much more. Last June, the Employee Relief Fund was created by our long-term shareholders because they wanted a way to continue to share compassion and to support our mission by reinvesting in the well-being of all MedVet team members. So far, we have provided grants to more than 250 team members facing unplanned, financial hardship.

The leadership is incredible and so inclusive, they help me learn every day and make sure that I get enough experience every day!

Cons

Hours are long, but very worth it. You see a wide variety of cases and never get bored!

We are happy to know that you are surrounded by supportive leaders and teammates. Specialty care can be a big change but it's always amazing to see our veterinary assistants dive into the challenge and learn new things. Thank you for sharing your feedback!
