Pros

--Indianapolis “training” is fun, although challenging with an SO. You will be very close to your training class by the end --Expense reports are uncapped with no real oversight, so can be used for anything loosely work related --Other Account Executives are supportive with training, events, and calls --Potential for high commission in a few years with a good territory or project work --Primarily promote internally for sales leadership positions --Annual sales conference where you can meet the entire company --Employees who enjoy working here, really love it --Brand new company HQ in Indianapolis is awesome --Not strict on enforcing KPIs and sales goal, so even underperforming reps don’t get let go --Big drinking culture if that's something you like

Cons

--Low base pay and limited commission for about your first 18 months --Training time in Indianapolis is primarily spent recruiting rather than training, which surprises some reps when they come up --Very poor DE&I in the company --Really high turnover rates in certain markets. Look on Linkedin to see how long other AE’s last in market and message one to ask for an honest answer --Lots of gossip about coworkers due to the small company size --It’s staffing sales so success depends heavily on the performance of others, --Can take upwards of 6 months to get a contract in place after breaking an account --Leadership can be reluctant to adopt new ideas --There’s not much coaching and development once you get out into the field. --Poor work-life balance. Lots of mandatory outside of work hours events --Company culture can feel cultish at times --Big drinking culture if that’s something you don’t like

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, though we are disappointed to hear that it was an unpleasant one. Regarding your comment on employee reviews – we never incentivize employees to leave positive reviews. Culture is very important to us at Medasource, which is why we strive to create a welcoming environment where our employees feel empowered to do their best. One such example of this is our employee-led connection groups, joined together based on common backgrounds, identities, or interests to provide a safe space for conversation and development. We recognize that the culture we seek to cultivate may not be a fit for all employees. We also appreciate your honesty regarding the earnings potential of our employees. Is every employee who steps through our doors wildly successful? Unfortunately, no. However, we are proud of the fact that our base salary plus commission structure has allowed a significant number of our employees to create a strong financial footing for themselves (and their families) so early into their careers. If you have any additional feedback or suggested improvements, please email us at success@eightelevengroup.com as we are always trying to better ourselves and the experiences we offer.

Pros

Working here has far surpassed any expectation I ever had on what a company could mean to you. This is an organization that lives by its core values - one of which is family. They truly treat each of us like a member of the Meda Family no matter how different you may be. The opportunities are endless for anyone who wishes to take advantage. I love how my success is based on the effort I choose to give. In a world where things are always happening outside of our control, it's nice to spend the majority of your time in an environment you can control (for the most part). Lastly, I learn something new every single day. Recruiting is an art and truly gives you the chance to meet people that you otherwise never would have crossed paths with.

Cons

As much as the success I have here is in my control, people are unpredictable. As a Recruiter you learn that lesson quickly! There are hard days when you have to terminate someone, have a tough conversation, you are disappointed by a candidate/consultant you liked because they "ghost" you or back out unexpectedly. Communicating the bad news to your team, the client, or consultant can be tough, but you grow a person and professional a lot in the process. Thankfully, the good moments make you forget about any of those days just as quickly!
