Great Place to Work!

Pros

Great company culture, always growing, and so much room for growth. If you work hard, the opportunities to get promoted are endless. I've been here for 8+ years and have had 5 different positions. Leadership is very involved (in a good way) to help you succeed. The training program is constantly growing and getting better each year. Commission is uncapped, plus quarterly/yearly bonus'!

Cons

Our product is people, and people are unpredictable. There are certain things with your position in recruiting or sales that will be out of your control, however there are many things you can control.

Pros

None. I would not recommend working here.

Cons

-Internally political. It truly is a “mans world, old boys club”. Sadly the poor, prior reviews about this are true. Most, if not all of the executives are buddies of the CEO and perform their jobs poorly as a result. Additionally, alarming that a family member of the CEO, who works at Medix, is a part owner of the company. The nepotism that occurs in their corporate office and behind closed doors needs to be addressed. -Low ball salaries. They get away with this by preying on new grads who don’t know any better. They combat this with advertising their competitive bonus and commission structure, which is a hoax. If you’re working more than 40 hours/week on a $40,000/year salary, it is simply not worth it. -Lack of thought leadership. This stems from internal promotions which results in management with no experience outside of Medix. I can’t tell you how many 25 year olds walk around that office with the illusion of confidence as if they’ve managed for 10+ years. -Cult like company culture. If you’re not fully bought into it, they will use their “core values” against you. Can’t volunteer on a Saturday or after hours? It will he brought up when you try to gun for that promotion. -Poor HR practices, which again, is a result of lack of management experience. They desperately need to implement legitimate policies across the board instead of making things up as they go. Written performance improvement plans, updated dress code policies, standardized work from home plans would be a start. They desperately struggle to compete with bigger agencies and fail to keep up with the times. It’s sad they’re so proud of new policies, such as allowing facial hair, because that should have been implemented years ago. -Overall, they fail to treat their employees like adults. This place is a revolving door and they need to recognize it’s not because the job market is good, it’s because they mistreat their employees.
