Pros

Amazing culture and team environment. Support given from all levels of leadership and they have a real interest in seeing you succeed personally and professionally. Core Purpose and Values are seen daily and exemplified by all, makes this company worth working for. This company cares about you and the community. They encourage you to get involved in philanthropy and provide opportunities to do so. You really do make a positive impact on people at this company.

Cons

Work/Life Balance is difficult to maintain. There is a lot of pressure on you to stay at work for longer hours.

Pros

Great first job out of school that will teach you how to grind, work your tail off, and handle all types of difficult and unpredictable situations. Your coworkers will consistently be one of the best parts of your job, people at Medix are great and know how to have a good time. Great stepping stone position, opens doors.

Cons

PROCEED WITH CAUTION. The pressure is unreal and at times, unbearable. In my year and a half working with Medix in a smaller office, I witnessed 7 people quit. You not only have quarterly metrics, but weekly, daily, even sometimes hourly goals you are required to hit. In an industry (staffing) that already throws so much unpredictability and negativity at times, Medix consistently portrays the message that what you're not doing is enough, and they don't let you forget it. Be prepared to work very long hours (can be as early as 6:45am and stay as late as 6pm). Not to mention if there is a project it is expected of you to work until 8-9 at night and come in on Saturday's. The company's core value is positively impacting lives which is a huge draw, but at the end of the day all your worth comes from how much money you are making the company. Be prepared to be stressed out 24/7. Be prepared to be blamed for things out of your control. I also concur with some of the other statements on this thread about it being a highly testosterone/male driven environment that does not always promote the equal treatment of women.

Pros

- Great sense of team purpose and young environment which is a lot of fun. - Opportunity is extremely situational so it can be a great place if they like you, high preference to churn/burn and promote externally within the recruitment ranks. - Social outings, gatherings, weekend events, family atmosphere etc. - Gym membership assistance and a $50/monthly student loan repayment program. - The Chicago office is really cool, most branches have really great office space.

Cons

- Leadership is completely out of touch with the business with almost complete disconnection with the front-line producers. Decisions made up top by the 'good old boys' without accounting for how they actually effect the business. Very top heavy organization. - They love pushing deceptive sales tactics that produce little value like personality index's and corporate analysts who are instructed to manipulate data to fit the cheesy sales narrative. - Hard work and production are rarely rewarded. They will promise you the world to get you in the door and based on my experience, don't deliver. Hours are 7:30AM-6PM with multiple monthly "voluntary late nights" which aren't voluntary if you ever stand a chance at being promoted. - Buy lots of suits because you'll need to wear one every day, also shave that beard because you'll be forced to humiliate yourself in the shared public bathroom with a 1-blade razor from the back office if you show up with a day of stubble. This point has been brought to management hundreds of times but they absolutely refuse to treat their employees like adults. - They value your participation in philanthropy more than your actual production within the team and absolutely hold it over your head when it comes to promotion time. Again to my point about management being out of touch with the business and the industry.
