Pros

I have been working for Medix for almost a year and this company has truly helped me grow professionally. Medix does a great job at investing their time into their employees. I have always lived by the motto..."whatever you put in, is what you will get out" and Medix is able to give you all the necessary tools to succeed. Of course, like any position, you need to work to get better and see results. My current position and this company have provided me with a chance to be successful.

Cons

Definitely the hours! You need to work hard to see results with a job like this. However, the payout is awesome! Hard work and dedication are two characteristics you must possess in order to last in an industry like this.

Pros

Medix Fit – you get to leave early 2 times a week (M-TH) to go to the gym; Medix puts $29.99 towards your gym membership. Right out of college it is great to still be working with people your age, yet it leads to an unprofessional environment.

Cons

Compensation and commission structure makes it almost impossible to make money in this company. Long work hours; 7:30am – 6:00pm with a lunch break from 12:00pm – 12:59pm. 6 meetings each day make for a very repetitive day; what new updates could you possibly have? All office meeting at 8:00am, 1:00pm and 4:00pm followed by meeting with your team immediately afterwards = 6 meetings every day, leads to the feeling of micromanaged and being babysat. You must attend all weekly company happy hours and quarterly events or you will be accused of not following the company’s culture and values.

Pros

I started working for Medix as an Intern during the summer of my Junior year in College. The company arranged for me to come from Ohio and work in sunny California. I paid my airfair and living, but was sufficiently compensated for my internship. Some of these reviews I have read are not based in reality. It's not suprising that the people who take their frustrations out through a review on the computer are the same people who fail in this company. If you are not willing to ask for help and expect things to be given to you, you wont make it at this company or any other. One of the most touched on points in a lot of these reviews are the "long-hours" with "no overtime." Listen, when you come to work for this company understand that you are not salaried workers. Although you recieve a yearly salary, this is not reflective of the work you do. You will get paid for how you work, not how long you work. My experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The company helped me move to California from Ohio after graduation and make my dreams a reality.

Cons

In any position that requires young people to manage thier time effectively, there will be individuals who can't. Know that you will have to plan your work and work your plan to be successful here.
