Pros

It was a fun work environment

Cons

They did a mass layoff letting over 100 people go with no heads up. To make it worse, they stated that they were all due to "poor performance", yet many of the employees that were let go were still new in the job, or even finding success in the position.

Pros

Mental Health Days (you'll need them)

Cons

Literally everything. The "Medix way" is to degrade and emotionally and verbally torture their employees until they quit. The culture is awful. When you asked for help there was none available or it was blamed on you for not working hard enough or knowing enough. The positions are incredibly hard to fill and you'll constantly be questioned why you don't have more qualified candidates, but they'll flood the market with recruiters. The management is terrible and overall it was the worst professional environment I've ever been part of.

Pros

You'll probably never hate a job this much again, so at least you can only go up from here.

Cons

As a new college grad, I understand that it is difficult to read a mix of negative and positive reviews. When I was looking at Medix originally, I had those thoughts of "maybe these people were just lazy." Nobody really loves their job anyways, right? Well, I took the job, despite the very clear warnings I read before becoming employed. This was the most soul-crushing job I've ever worked. You will work with and meet really great people here, but it is simply not worth it for the micromanagement and ridiculous metrics you will experience. When I was layed off I remember hearing about employees that were still in training, still in their first four weeks at the company, getting layed off as well. That sounds awesome and fair, right? The unprofessionalism from upper management in this company is astounding. Cursing out some of their hardest working team members when an office isn't operating at 120%. If being a cog in the Medix machine and working 60 hours a week to keep your job while continuously having benefits minimized sounds in line with your career goals, look no further. The turnover rate speaks for itself.
