      Strong training program. Able to gain lots of experience in a short amount of time.

      Cons

      Takes advantage of employees. Prone to adding to employee workload until it becomes unsustainable.

      A place to learn but way overworked and under-supported.

      Pros

      -Training program for new CRAs can help you break into clinical research. -Travel perks let you keep airline/hotel points.

      Cons

      - Noncompete agreement. To my knowledge, this is the only CRO that is willing to pay lawyers to chase after employees that leave instead of paying their CRAs/other employees more or improving employee retention. - High turnover because of low pay and poor management leads to a chaotic work environment. Very stressful and unnecessarily so. - They advertise 2-3 protocols on average and 10-15 sites. Reality is 4-6 protocols and 20+ sites. Requests to manager for workload reduction are brushed aside/ignored. - Work culture: Work/Life balance is terrible. Though they give you PTO and sick days, the workload they assign you makes it so that taking time off makes your return to work very stressful as it builds up. Many at the company just seem to think it's acceptable to work 7 days a week with no end in sight.

This is highly valued in our organization, and we've received wonderful feedback from sponsors. With our CRAs in particular we reward them not just with base compensation but with an opportunity to earn significant additional compensation tied directly to their travel and performance as well as the opportunity to earn Medpace equity awards very early in their career.       The CRA training program is thorough and prepares you to be a CRA. Most of the other employees are nice to work with. I have heard that other departments are much better to work in.

      Cons

      I would give this company a 2.5/5 if I could, but since it’s whole numbers, I’m rounding down. -There is so much nepotism through the company that needs to be addressed. -Your entire experience as a CRA is almost completely based on your manager which can be great or horrible -the workload can be overwhelming and if your manager is not receptive to his or her employees, you will be on your own to figure it out -some of the managers will watch your status to see if you are away from your desk for more than 5 minutes. -starting pay is low for industry standards -people get fired all the time and it’s really stressful watching your coworkers get perp-walked out of the building constantly

As an organization, we do not accept any form of discrimination or nepotism and encourage any employees to bring these complaints to Human Resources. We are experiencing a major growth period. While it’s an exciting time for the company, with that comes growing pains and we are working hard to bring great new employees to the company to help alleviate workload pressures. Additionally, we grew by nearly 25% last year and while there are many new faces, this does not necessarily represent turnover. We are sorry Medpace was not a fit for you but we wish you well in your future endeavors.
