Pros

Clean, shiny, high-tech work environment. Game room I never bothered with. Lunch room with overpriced crap like a convenience store. Free coffee, tea. Refrigerators and microwaves for bag lunches. Personal lockable drawer for 'stuff'. Occasional free lunches or other perks.

Cons

Partial job training, with lots of critical omissions, and high expectations of performance. No clear chain of command. I had four different people claim to be my boss- none of them really knew my job well, and questions were often better puzzled out alone or with co-workers than to bother asking management. Lots of favoritism, no proper reviews and likely no standards for consequential 'snap' judgements. High security environment that is not compassionate of personal issues. One girl got fired for swearing when arguing with a security guard when she needed to rush to help her aging mother who had fallen.

Pros

Commitment to the Medtronic mission is powerful. Small operating company acquired by Medtronic where you can really move along at an aggressive pace and innovate in most business practices. Small company means one can proactively take more responsibility and wear more hats than counterparts in larger divisions. It is a great location.

Cons

Backwards culture that still does not align well with mother Medtronic. Undercompensated as related to larger Medtronic divisions. Little room for professional advancement. Constant reorganization to try to fix the problem of "fit" of employees.
