      Pros

      Good benefits and competitive pay - they do a good job talking to the Medtronic Mission.

      Cons

      Poor leadership - a lot of new leaders with no experience leading people or an organization, a CEO that continually restructures the organization resulting in people being let go with little impact to financial metrics. They hide the bad news and snowball you with talk about the mission - as if you should work harder for the mission. You can review their stock price - that will tell you everything.

      Pros

      Medtronic remains competitive in almost all market segments they compete, and seem to drive growth within mature and new business units. The company remains focused on it's mission and serving patients.

      Cons

      The companies executive leadership team has lost touch with technical employees. The vast majority of the executive committee has NO background in science or engineering, even though they emphasize engineering capabilities and manage the worlds largest med tech company.

      I get to work with some former coworkers work here.

      Cons

      Not a very warm welcome. I have been here for a couple months and have been idle the last 3 weeks. My manager is supposed to get training lined up for me, but still waiting on it despite myself and a coworker asking for the training. I thought I understood what my role is, but am slowly learning it is not what I signed up for. I learn about meetings I should be in after the fact which doesn’t help with my understanding of what the job entails. Regretting ever taking this job.
