The IT organization is a toxic work environment. IT executives routinely exploit employees’ commitment to do the right thing for patients, and rely on fear and intimidation rather than genuine leadership. This creates a culture where people don’t act in the company’s best interest, but rather they simply follow orders to avoid becoming a target. Frequent layoffs targets experienced staff and replace them with cheaper, less seasoned employees, creating instability, eroding trust, and weakening overall capability and moral.

Lots of bureaucracy, very slow moving, frequent re-orgs, communication from corporate is poor and disjointed. No identity as a company. Decision making comes from above and isnt well explained to employees below. Shoddy decision making by previous managers has painted current decision makers into a corner.
