Pros

Meijer will work with you in terms of work/life balance, flex work schedules, etc. My team is also top notch, with good leadership and coworkers (though your mileage may vary depending on your team, of course). The company also has many, many people who have been there for 10+ years.

Cons

Meijer has many, many people who have been there 10+ years and are stuck in their antiquated processes. Modernization efforts always face an uphill battle against this. There is a deep-seated mom & pop shop mindset despite being a large enterprise.

Pros

- Self directed work "usually" through a system or paper picks. - Training on PIT equipment, even with no prior experience. - Ability to swap job roles a couple times a year.

Cons

- They hire anybody, you work with some 'not so' great people. - Lazy Supervisors and Trainers 'some'. - Favoritism is rampant with Supervisors. Example: One person can leave early with no penalty, but not you. - Very low PTO per year and only 6 attendance points max. - Dirty and Dangerous work environment.
