Pros

The job itself is ok. Not hard labor at all.

Cons

-Raises are not based on your work performance at all. You can work your butt off while other co-workers talk all day but they will still get a raise just because of the amount of hours they worked. -Even though most positions there are part-time;they want you to work five days a week but your days off are not scheduled back to back. -If your availability changes they say they will work with you on that issue but it's all talk and no action. -Even if you haven't got your ninety days in they will schedule you to work on a holiday so they don't have to pay you time and half. -It's a unionized employer, so people who are same rank as you can bump your breaks and lunch time just because they have worked there a week longer than you.

Pros

Benefits are good. There are tons of opportunities to advance. Business is growing very quickly. Company has many strong family values. They conduct business honestly and at the highest of standards. Open 24/7, never a dull moment.

Cons

Business is growing so quickly that many people are promoted before they are ready. Pay could be better. It is a must to work the majority of all holidays and weekends. Last minute schedule changes often.

Pros

The only pro is that it's a job and it pays the bills....barely. You get to meet new people.

Cons

No respect, terrible scheduling, they basically pay people to shop there, they let people return items without a receipt for large amounts of money all the time, managers don't back up the associates in service, the pay sucks, the hours suck, and they don't appreciate the employees. Most Meijer stores are also extremely understaffed so it makes working there pretty awful.
