Pros

I worked in the multi speciality department for the medical group in sugar land. The hours were great Monday thru Friday 8 to 5 no holidays or weekends. The benefits were excellent!!

Cons

You never left at 5 pm the work load was so chaotic I always had to work past 5pm usually leaving after 6pm. Management does not know how to manage there employees. If they know that you are a great employee they work you till they break you. Me and other co-workers had an issue with a member of our team she always had a bad attitude would never pull her weight and would always throw you under the bus. We retorted her several times to management to help us figure out a solution to the problem. All management would say is that she's jealous of us and to hang on that things would get better but they never would.

Pros

The patients you build a relationship with

Cons

- Horrible management - Older nurses hate change and new nurses - Lateral violence - Unfair assignments - Horrible pay - High turn over rate (which they lied during interview when asked) - Would rather jeopardize patient safety - Heavy workload resulting in burnt out nurses - Major disorganization - Nurses express how "easy" it is to steal narcotics - Constant gossip with the whole hospital - During Hurricane Harvey, they sent team A home the night before the code was called because they did not want to pay OT. In result, night shift nurses suffered working both day and night shift for 5 days straight. No place to sleep (slept on the floor or hard PT tables) and no cooks for food until people could make it in. Team B was never called to relieve Team A so the nurses who worked day and night for 5 days straight still came back to their regular scheduled shift and for most that was with one day break. Management could care less when they complained.

Pros

some good benefits with tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Management is horrible! Pharmacy is very unorganized and I worked at TMC. They expect so much of you and they do not have enough staff and will only hire supplemental to save money. They put $0 into their pharmacy and wonder why the nurses get so upset and write us up all the time. If you have an idea forget about it making any difference, they won't listen.
