Pros

Somewhat good pay, nothing else

Cons

Toxic Environment! I have NEVER worked with such lazy, discriminating, immature people in my life until I came here! The bullying is insane. The favoritism, the nasty attitudes that you get if you aren’t in “the clique” . Management and HR just ignore you if you try to report it. Run far away from this company! Especially Cypress!

Pros

-plenty of knowledgeable people to ask questions of -pay was decent

Cons

-youre floated from unit to unit so learning anything can be very difficult -there are people willing to help you but many that arent, i once called a supervisor for help with something and they just straight up hung up the phone -i was hired as a night shift employee, i was never put on a single night shift -i was asked if i wanted a specific person to train with, i told them who i wanted but they said, "actually no". why ask if youre just gonna say no? -i worked for like 6 months when i was told my credentials went missing and i had to redo that process, i was working while my license was never put into the system apparently, i wonder who has gotten through the cracks and is just fraudulently working there -a regular shift was SUPPOSED to have about 30 people from my department but it was VERY normal for about 10 of them to call in "sick" on any given day, a third of our workforce would regularly be gone and you had to find a way to pick up the slack even in the ICU. i often times had two floors and an IMU to myself, sometimes these units would be in completely different buildings so youd have to go from floor to floor just to see your patients -because of this inadequate staffing, things were done without patient safety in mind, certain therapies that required 1 on 1 care weren't done that way simply because there wasn't enough time to do them correctly. -IF i had extra time i would ask my coworkers if they needed help and they'd look at me like, "are you joking? of course i need help". id check their charting to see what patients needed to be seen and literally every single one except for a few would still need tons of work done with them, and this was in the ICU with veteran employees. -the parking was atrocious in the med center, feces on the train platform and attacks from homeless people was very normal. theres a few more things but i cant remember them off the top of my head, dont work here, at least not in the med center. youre gonna be doing the work of 2 to 3 people and it'll never be fixed because that entire hospital thinks it normal to be like that.
