Decent pay, bad benefits, okay place

Pros

Mass layoffs not as common as in the for-profit industries. Employees that have been here for a long time seem to be happy.

Cons

The health care coverage for this place is terrible - it costs almost $400 extra per month to have my wife on my plan ($100 "Spousal Fee" and $80 extra premium, every two weeks). They recently improved the coverage for having a baby, which is good, but people don't typically have babies every year.

Pros

The hospital was one of the best in Texas in terms of patient resources. There were many different types of therapies available. The grounds were very well maintained and beautiful. The staff were very passionate and hard working.

Cons

The management could at times be described as very exclusive of employee input. Many decisions seemed to be made behind closed doors and often times many of the employees were not on board.

Pros

This is a great place to learn. If you work here you can basically work anywhere. The pay is pretty decent and being able to make your own schedule is nice when you have a family at home. The upper management team is seems to be very nice, sometimes too nice but I like it

Cons

Dayshift employees (females) have horrible attitudes! They do not know how to communicate to new employees without being rude. Some of the people who have been there a while are super lazy and there's people who the key be in charge but cannot answer questions or help fix problems that a lead person should know.
