Pros
Memorial Hermann is a reputable healthcare system, one of the largest in the nation. There is a lot of brand recognition associated with the system and the employees tend to be top notch, especially at the flagship location in the Houston medical center. The benefits are good and the culture within the company is sought after by other healthcare systems.
Cons
Staffing can be an issue at some of the smaller community hospitals within the system. Due to the staffing issues, there seems to be a trickle down effect that can be seen in terms of employee satisfaction ratings and burnout levels among clinicians. If you are placed in a department that is well staffed and managed, the cons that I see within my hospital shouldn't apply to you.
