The c-suite prefers to decimate DigITs' individual contributors than hold middle managers accountable for overspending. A lot of painful heavy lifting is invisible to higher management. Unclear promotion paths and career development opportunities except for a minority of highly vocal super heroes. MSK's mission and values are frequently undermined by middle management.
