Pros

bonus pay on weekends and holidays and you can normally get time off if you request it far enough in advance

Cons

Incompetent staff, poor benefits, no reason to work harder, poor enforcement of regulations, food that breaks or spoils must be thrown away and cannot be eaten or taken home

Pros

A regular paycheck, $2.50 extra on the weekend

Cons

Horrible managment, the company doesn't care about you, you are a number, 10 cent raises, the people such to work with, focused to much on the bottom line, the procedures are horrible

Pros

The hours and pay are great for a P/T job either for a college student or supplemental income. It's actually a great job to be social, good excercise, and allows you to work with cool displays/products.

Cons

The F/T role is a joke. What everybody else has posted is true, Menards exclaims that you will make this amount or this amount; which compared to other jobs is somewhat comparable. The huge difference is about 10-15 more hours a week to get there with the nights, weekends, and holidays. It's very depressing when you see everybody come into the store smiling and laughing around the Holiday's when you have to work. My advice is to only take this role if you have no kids and minimal family, i understand you have to do what you got to do but don't get sucked into the Menards trap. I feel sorry for the F/T that have worked their so long and can't get out due to economical contrainsts. Yes John/Larry Menard the employees chose to work their, but that doesn't mean you don't have to have Corporate Social Responsibility and treat employees like it's a military.
