Pros

getting paid is nice. But they expect you to do everyone elses work. But if you dont work hard enough you will be ignored. Which I guess is nice in the long run.

Cons

Menards micro manages way to much. If your the new guy look out you will do it all. 40 plus hour work weeks for part time is crazy stay till atleast 11 when scheduled till 9

Pros

There are some great opportunities for advancement depending on the position you enter. The personalities of the different departments (at corporate) are like different worlds, so this makes for an interesting work environment.

Cons

Very poor non-professional work environment at the corporate level. Old school business model and employees are view as disposable even at the corporate level. As with any job, management can influence things for the better or worse.

Pros

Incentives can be good. You earn extra money on weekends and this would be a good job for a student.

Cons

Horribly boring job when store isn't busy. 't'he store manager was horrible to most of the cashiers. I wouldn't recommend working in the Front End of the register at the service desk or as a cashier. It is the lowest position, and people will treat you accordingly.
