Pros

Some people understand what your goals are outside of the company (People at the bottom of the business) Willing to promote from within (quickly) Willing to give hours

Cons

Communication is never there Given responsibilities of management positions, but no compensation Upper management clearly have favoritism and are ruthless Work expected out of a low compensation position If you're scheduled, there's little to no way to get out of that shift. All managers give you hell until you work it, even if that means not getting to see your family for the holidays.

Pros

Flexible hours Above minimum pay Can come in on "off" days for part time individuals as long as they do not exceed 30 hours during the slow season. Calling off is not difficult when an emergency or situation arises. Would recommend to students seeking a flexible job that does not interfere with school work in "set in stone hours", other than that, get your degree and dont' look back.

Cons

Favoritism Nepotism Constant rule making that seems pointless and hardly achieves desired results. Supervisors are in a rush to get things done and do not listen or comprehend there are things that go wrong that are out of the team members hands. Supervisors then feel entitled to taking out their opinions on why individuals are taking "longer" than expected to do something. individuals who are full time are asked to work 50 hour weeks when it is their "busy" season, and when they slow down they do not accommodate for those in need usually telling they can go home, thus reducing work hours.
