      Pros

      For the most part co-workers are friendly and it's rewarding working with and helping the consumer attain goals.

      Cons

      High demand, very low pay. No room for growth. The many positions that may be available usually requires a degree, in my opinion a lot of the times all it takes is common sense and experience. Tuition reimbursement is extremely low compared to some other places I've worked.

      Help chronically mentally ill individuals by normalizing their experiences rather than being institutional

      Cons

      Upper Mgt. quick to blame direct service workers for incidents that could not be prevented. Interested only in census numbers and not particular about the individuals served who can be dangerous to workers.
