They give you a paycheck

Cons

Don't ever count on your shift end time to be respected. They treat staff like cattle then wonder why they have been chronically short staffed at every site for years. They offer no flexibility to their staff yet expect you to provide all the flexibility in the world to them. You can accrue PTO but you will receive disciplinary points for using it. Expect to do the work of 4 job descriptions but only get paid for one. As appreciation for that, you will get disciplined when you drop the ball on any of the 4 jobs your are to be covering across multiple sites that you haven't received training for.

Unethical behavior is swept under rug, people who leave villanized, criticism or questions defensive. The real priority is the appearance of compliance, not quality. A total mess top to bottom.

The work you do with the patients is often personally rewarding.

Cons

Chronically short staffed conpany wide for the 13 years I've been there. You will do the job of 2 or 3 people with no extra incentives. You will work mandated overtime due to the company's inability to hire and retain staff. Management will not be held to the same standards as staff.
