Pros

Compensation is above average. High performance is rewarded. Projects are generally diverse and interesting.

Cons

A subgroup of senior staff ganged up to bully, gaslight, and spread false rumors about me. It was an extremely abusive workplace, where 12 hour workdays all week were apparently not enough to be considered a hard worker. There was no way for me to report my treatment to a higher power, and those that I did confide in did not believe me. The cultural rot seems to go all the way to the Partner level. Either that, or they gladly turn a blind eye as long as the perpetrators of abuse keep the money coming in. Leaving this company was the best thing I ever did.

Pros

- Well laid out expectations for what'll make one a successful employee. - Friendly colleagues.

Cons

- Really a place to go and work if you want to use non of your creative or imagination skills. - Performance is 90% based on how many hours you work. - Nature of projects are dull and not challenging. - There is no real 'solution' this department provides. It's just agreeing to what the Executive Compensation clients demand so they don't go to a competitor. - The job doesn't contribute to creating new thought or improving things in the field. It's essentially social and economic redundancy. Unfortunately that is the nature of compensation consulting in general. If you have a sense of imagination, don't work here.

Pros

Intelligent colleagues Less travel than most consulting companies Challenging projects Wide variety of project work

Cons

Billable hours comprise majority of performance evaluation and are largely out of your control Culture is improving under new leadership, but is still inflexible, stuffy, bureaucratic Onboarding is horrible. It's sink of swim
