      Pros

      Worked for their Geneva subsidiary Merck Serono SA. I found them to be ok employers with all the usual benefits. When the site was closed down the redundancy package was quite good.

      Cons

      Corporate culture was very heavy on process which in the end did little to prevent some really poor decision making on the IT side. e.g. re-selecting the same supplier for a project on which they had already failed to deliver.

      Pros

      Process and clarity of purpose provided by top management. Good incentive policy . Inter-department interactions are encouraged. Accountability and responsibility for own actions is encouraged.

      Cons

      Time management is absolutely essential for the employee else one will start regretting the decision of joining the organisation! Instrument portfolio is not very advanced , so it may not be a good decision to join if some one is looking for expertise on advanced analytical instruments.
