Pros

- Golden handcuffs, if he or she joined through an acquisition. - Interesting work, knowledgeable staff/colleagues

Cons

- Compliance training happens nearly daily. - Acquired company employees beware. They laid off 10% of the site without warning a few months ago at our site, basically removing "redundancies" filled at the local level and handing their responsibilities to those at corporate. - Those in corporate are very slow, and often removed entirely from work. This includes IT support, trade compliance (so so slow), etc. - Did I mention the slow, slow pace? - I've worked with about 50-60 engineers. 1 woman. Not exaggerating.

Slap on the wrist for harrassment.

Pros

-Great flexibility with working from home -Easy to learn and use programs -Family feel on site - Consistent updates from management/CEO -COVID informed

Cons

- Do not follow their own handbook on harassment/bullying termination. Give multiple chances to people even if they are reported by more than one teammate. Allowing verbal assault (cussing out, threatening) with a simple slap on the wrist. -Complaints to HR often dismissed or not followed up on for extended periods of time -Management brush issues brought up by team members under the rug.

Beware of USMO - Bad Management

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Pays well but a LOT of hours to earn it

Cons

USMO Planning has a very high turnover. For a reason. While working here I was constantly putting in 11-12 hour days + time on the weekend. It was not enough. Management would listen to concerns about workload sympathetically but nothing ever changed. Whenever something comes up that you were not able to get to you get the speech about how critical the TPP report was and and must be done on time all the time. All this at the end of a 60 hour week. In a department with 4 employees, non had been there more that a two years. It's just not sustainable. After a year of hearing how things are going to change (but don't) people just burn out, leave, or are fired. You will hear excuses about how it was their fault but who hired them? How can every employee be bad?
