Pros

Hard working, trustworthy employees that are enjoyable to work with. Teams that strive to meet company and customer needs on rewarding innovative projects. Positive collaborative environment. Level-headed senior management team.

Cons

Due to hyper-growth that Mercury has experience in the past few years it has been hard to keep up with work demand through hiring enough qualified engineers. This has resulted in many employees being overworked in the near term to meet product and customer commitments. The outlook is improving, but slowly.

Pros

I have always felt blessed to work for Mercury, it is truly a great company and I work with an amazing team. I didn't think I could be more impressed than I already was but then COVID hit. Mercury has gone above and beyond with the care, concern, and safety of their employee's. Leadership's communication through this pandemic has been outstanding.

Pros

The biggest pros I have experienced are the compensation, overall culture and the opportunities to help to company grow. I left a Fortune 100 company that is part of the DJIA after a lengthy career and couldn't be happier. My earnings are > 20% from my former employer in less than 2 years and the benefits package is better overall. The work environment and the way management treats employees is 180 degrees from my former employer. Everyone is treated with respect and inter-departmental rivalries are minimal. Due to the current growth Mercury is experiencing growing pains but that can translate to opportunity if you are willing to approach issues with an open mind. Leadership is always engaging the workforce to provide feedback and participate in the decision making process. Special mention is deserved for the current global pandemic crisis. The way executive leadership has handled the COVID crisis is truly noteworthy. They were quick to realize the seriousness of the issue and take action to insure the safety of the workforce and minimize the impact to the business. WORLD CLASS in my opinion.

Cons

It's worth noting at this point that I waited 2 years to write this review. I did this intentionally and was encouraged more than once to write a review here by management, including several times within my first few days of hire. My review now is significantly different than it would have been if I posted during the first 6 months of my employment. The two biggest drawbacks I see are the same growing pains mentioned in pros and the lack of structure regarding training and processes. There was a lot of employee turnover in 2018-2019 at our site. The manager that hired me left a few months after I was hired. I'm not sure of all the reasons behind this turnover but in at least a few cases it appeared to be due to toxic personalties and work environments in specific areas. I did not work on those teams so cannot confirm other than feedback from former employees that could be viewed as biased. The antiquated ERP system was added to the Phoenix location when the site was acquired and was resisted by legacy employees in general, creating a situation where there was not a lot of documented training. It really needs to be updated.
