      Pros

      Everyone hired in the last 3 years that I have encountered has been incredibly dynamic and fits the profile of someone who can scale in a hyper-growth atmosphere. Working in HR I have the opportunity to see the initiatives in place to make Mercury a great place to work. We are constantly surveying the organization to find blind spots where improvement can be made. The executive team is very impressive and isn’t the typical profile you sometimes find where they are too far removed from daily operations. Everyone has a good idea of what is going on in there group enough that if you go to them with any type of problem they are able to come up with a solution with you. I’m a recent addition to the HR Leadership team and have no complaints so far. My role is one that I feel passionate about and I look forward to coming to work everyday.

      -No official maternity leave, instead employees use STD -Official Women in Leadership programs to help develop our female leadership pipeline

      Pros

      Committed and engaged employees providing solutions to our war fighters Strong technical knowledge and capabilities. We do a lot of work with lead edge technologies. Many opportunities for training, growth and advancement Great mix of senior and junior talent that enables young talent to grow and excel.

      Cons

      Work-life balance can be challenging. Long hours required to be successful due to resource limitations in key areas.

      Pros

      It seems that an overwhelming percentage of the company is enthusiastic about what they do and are willing to help and work hard to get things accomplished.

      Cons

      Sometimes it is easy to get lost in the fray. A better platform to manage programs should be in place so that milestones are tracked accurately and frequently.

Culture is of utmost importance to us and we are working to improve our personal connections and encourage cross-functional collaboration as much as possible. We deployed the Atlassian suite of tools 18 months ago to help us better manage programs and we are hearing and seeing great things. Finally, we encourage you to join your site and/or functional group engagement teams to help us make more improvements to our systems and to encourage interaction outside of our immediate teams.
