      Improving performance and lots of opportunity

      Pros

      Pace of typical design cycle allows for rapid skill development. Engineering teams work well together cross-discipline. Upper level management has made some disruptive changes but the financial improvement has been realized.

      Cons

      Some teams stretched thin post reorg, leading to some burnout. This being said, there is an effort to resolve this in key areas.

      Takes time to turn a battleship

      Pros

      Technical staff is great, labs are fantastic. Good low-level engineering managers. I enjoyed my time there.

      Cons

      Too many layers of upper management to be effective, Simple improvements to processes with minimal cost/time to realize returns take years to implement and typically fall on deaf ears. It's like a game of telephone when a request needs to traverse 6 layers (3-up/3-down) of management to get anything accomplished.
