Pros

Innovation, Collaboration, Teamwork, Recognition, Caring I’ve worked at Mercury for over 15 years. During that time, I’ve seen a seismic change in the company’s strategy, culture and focus on employees. From arrogant (we’re your only option) to customer- focused From engineering-driven to sales/marketing- driven From sink or swim response to new hires to fully supportive, comprehensive onboarding From a lack of purpose, and direction to a clearly communicated, easy-to-understand mission, vision and strategy. What does all this mean? It means that Mercury (in my opinion) is one of the BEST (if not THE best) companies to work for. The focus on strategy, business model, alignment with market trends, fiscal responsibility, sales go-to-market approach, product technology leadership is unmatched. But all of that pales in comparison to Mercury’s stewardship and reinforcement of its Culture and Values, which the entire Company tries to live by. Not just a poster on a wall. Not just lip service. The Company truly lives by these tenets. And it shows. In collaboration. Helping each other. Recognizing and rewarding success. Relentless pursuit of Innovation that Matters. Transparency and open communication from the leadership team to front-line employees. And I haven’t even touched on Mercury’s response to COVID-19 yet! Let’s just say their support of employees has been over the top. I feel safe, both from a COVID perspective AND a job security perspective. 15 years. More accomplishments (and recognition) than I can count. Why not another 15 years? Why not join us? Proud to be part of this amazing company.

Cons

Zero. None. Nada. Nothing. Zilch.

Pros

Company seems to be growing at a fast-pace. Many opportunities to be involved with important, impactful, and highly visible projects from the start

Cons

Payroll seems to constantly be disorganized and confused (has a tendency to not pay people on time). There is a lack of communication between payroll, HR, and other employees

Thank you for your feedback. As Mercury continues to grow, we are constantly looking for ways to improve. We are currently hiring new personnel at a record pace and generally integrate new acquisitions within six months of closing. While we do our best to partner cross-functionally and adapt to changes quickly, there may be rare instances where delays or human error occur. When this happens we work hard to rectify the matter swiftly and always strive for employee satisfaction. In the future, we encourage you to talk with your manager or HR Business Partner if similar issues occur.

Pros

-Mercury Systems is the best company I've ever worked for. I feel grateful to work for a company that truly lives their cultures and values. -I appreciate that my team understands the importance of work life balance and encourages all members to take some days off - this has been such a refreshing change of pace. -There is a lot of growth and opportunity -Though it is fast growing and fast paced, we have not experienced too many growing pains and the leadership team has done a great job being proactive vs. reactive -Actions taken during the COVID-19 pandemic has been very impressive and generous to all employees -Overall, the benefits are good, though some could be better (see below under cons)

Cons

I have only two that come to mind, but aren't too significant personally when compared to all the pros: -Annual bonuses are paid out depending on company performance and the bonus amount is small compared to annual bonuses at other companies that may be based on individual performance vs. company performance -Insufficient maternity/paternity benefits and paid leave.
