Mercy is a good company if you do not come in through the billing department.

Pros

The thing I like about Mercy is they offer financial assistance to their patients. Also they communicate about were you are as an employee.

Cons

They have an "at fault" attendance policy, Ive seen good employees leave because of it. They focus more on quantity instead of quality. They do not hold everyone to the same guidelines so if you're a favorite you'll advance more quickly.

Pros

This job has offered a great deal of training opportunities including phlebotomy, EKGs, IV starts, and all other PCA duties. The MDI board works well and problems are addressed and normally solved in a matter of weeks. Hourly wage was a good starting salary.

Cons

Staffing is sometimes stretched. There is a lot of bending, walking, lifting, and busy work. Management is going through changes.
