I enjoy working at a smaller community hospital with a slower pace, I've spent my time in large hospitals.

Pros

The pay was decent for the area and the workload is fairly easy. If you have worked at large, fast-paced hospitals and are ready to slow down and take it easy then Wesley may be the place for you. There is an excellent cardiac team of doctors and an excellent cardiothoracic surgeon at Wesley.

Cons

There is not a great relationship between management and staff, poor communication and there is no one willing to go to bat for the staff nurses. There always seems to be changes rolling out that always impact nursing in a negative manner, be it creating more work or delegation of more responsibility...all for no extra money or incentive.

I used to say it was great but as soon as they got rid of a great employee it went down hill people do have life's and u can't be even a minute late with out getting fired or wrote up!!

Cons

Everything is wrong especially sub specialty manager
