Pros

I can not express any good things to say about Meritage Homes. They thrive on the revolving door for their employees.

Cons

Meritage does not live up to their company mission statement. They will not do the right thing for the home owner or for the employee. Their only concern is the bottom line and will take advantage of their employees, business partners, and home owners in order to achieve their financial goals.

Pros

Nobody bothers you while you do nothing

Cons

No growth, everyone hires there friends, and the company does not care about its employee's, it is all about NAILS, 2x4's and buying cheap land, other than that, keep you nose to the grinding stone you next on the throw under the bus list

Pros

Insurance benefits are fair, and company pays for portion of those benefits. Other than that, some of the small peas working within the company are good people.

Cons

Deceitful higher management, a younger crew currently being recruited, most with accounting backgrounds, and very little home building back ground. They are making the lives of sales agents and older employees miserable, demanding extra time and extra hours, even on days off. Extremely difficult to be reimbursed for expenses, if ever. Horrible company culture, that appears to reward a thick clique mentality. Slap on a happy face, don't say anything about the over pricing of homes at most the communities, tell your Division Presidents that they are "the bomb," and you might be a good enough to keep your severely under paid/over worked job. Heart ache, financial and emotional suffering for most agents, while only a couple of agents, at any given division, can actually sell homes and make the big money. Very hurtful to see such sad faces. The select few get huge favors, while others die on the vine.
