Pros

Independence, ability to make your own salary. Good support for the established professional.

Cons

Lack of support for new hires with no experience. Compensation plan is among the worst in the industry. Lots of hidden costs in doing business. Do not expect any support from corporate if you have any issues related to your pay or benefits whatsoever.

Pros

The hours were a very normal 8 to 4. Corporate life for a paralegal. Timesheets were a breeze since you just filled out a sheet with their codes. Both lawyers and paralegals were billed out at the same rate.

Cons

The politics interfered with getting the job done. Met Life "lifers" are no longer with the company.
