Pros

Friendly co workers Casual work environment

Cons

Around 25% of new hires are fired after the initial training phase... It is certainly a position that is not for everybody. Even if you put fourth your best efforts, you may not be detail oriented enough to remember the all the intricacies (which follow no general principles) that you are expected to somehow master. Antiquated technology Stressful Salary is low Extreme expense management (bring your own cups, never any food provided by company) 30 minute lunch break limit (basically means you have to bring your own food because there is no time to pick it up)

Pros

MetLife has a wide-variety of competitive products and services, great training programs and a team oriented environment. Also, once you become an experienced representative and establish a successful practice, the income potential is unlimited.

Cons

To be successful you must work long hours, which makes it hard to have a healthy work life balance. Representatives are compensated with commission only, which can be financially tough for representatives lacking experience.
