Pros

Good brand name and great people in the back offices when communicating across the country. Pretty much a "family" environment.

Cons

Unless you're well-connected or have rich friends and families you won't make it. No one, not even marketing, has a clue about training sales force to penetrate markets. It's like slinging mud at the walls and hoping something sticks. Insurance is hard enough to sell but is especially in tough economic times. Sadly enough, recruiting has numbers to make, so it's pretty much a "churn and burn" philosophy. If you don't make it of course you're out, and probably out a lot of money as well since you'll be financing yourself to go to work.

Pros

Pto time Flexible schedule Friendly co workers Work from home

Cons

The most stressful environment to work in. No appreciation is shown for hard work. It's all politics. quick to weed out hard working employees. Heavy work load puts stress on everyone, but is overlooked as long as producitivity is being met.
