Pros

Getting to hang up the telephone at will. Not having to return phone calls . Never be nice. Bad attitude, no problem it’s considered a bonus at this company.

Cons

Not able to sleep at night knowing this company was screwing innocent people out of their premiums by basically automatically denying everything

Improving, but much still to be done.

Pros

The overall benefits are good, the people are great, and the new CHRO is making strides on the overall employee experience. There is flexibility and a certain level of autonomy, though this does vary depending on the area you're in.

Cons

There is too much red tape and too many decisions taking place in silos which continues to stifle innovation and progress. While there is autonomy, it is limited to the confines of one's existing responsibilities with little room to create. Recognition of top talent and opportunities for professional growth are lackluster. Couple this with already below average compensation and it means MetLife will see a lot of its top talent go unless changes are made quickly.
