Pros

Benefits and pay are competitive in the market.

Cons

Extremely lacking management on-site. The highest level is an AVP that came from IBM with no management skills, losing three of six direct reports since December, 2017 and four of six in the last ten months. Two walked out, with no notice given within one week of each other. The most recent departure was true talent walking out the door. There are rumors of layoffs and speculation is to make the environment so unhealthy and hostile, that people leave. Is that how MetLife wants their reputation to be?? Not a motivating environment when people in different groups with procurement leave abruptly. Higher management, VPs, are not located in Cary and are seen perhaps once every two months or so. The Chief officer is seen even less. None are approachable from my experience. They will believe what they are told from their direct report management and that’s that.

Cons

Woume work admin to or of ambulance hAving to carry coworkers off in stretchers. Unable to utiluze bathroom breaks b/c they had 5 do 15 plus peoples work load and on other we region coworkers vacations more all due to outsourcing. Worked us in a black mold building for 3 years after j a Jones leasing for ofc space advised the building had black mold. All other companies immediately moved providing 3 wks pd time off and pd Dr's visit...not metlife. B/c their employees warned if symptoms 3 yes prior. J a Jones did testing based on these complaints. We all had short term memory problems, constant bladder and/ or kidney infections as we awerent allowed to use the restroom on a regular basis due to slave labor. Co workers had extreme weight fainand loss of family relationships including divorces as common occurrence sadly. At first thought error in judgement local Ming but as symptoms worsened and saw ling life effects contacted all the way up and all said prove it. They knew when they played us off the left us with no medical.
