Hyper competitive culture makes it a stressful place to work. People are rewarded for documented impact not helping or teaching others. Somewhat toxic culture where significant number of leaders exert dominance through bullying tactics, such as constantly interrupting or talking over others they feel are inferior. Almost no one will offer to help you as there are is no recognition in performance review for generosity and difficult to show impact in PSC of helping colleagues. With stack ranking now in place , helping others actually puts your salary growth and job security at risk (current policy is 5-10% of performers are terminated) Self promotion and fake self confidence is the norm and tiresome especially at meetings.
