Pros

The company benefits are wonderful Weekly Q&A engagement is a plus The top management is determined to achieve the Metaverse goal

Cons

If you are looking for career growth and being acknowledged for your good work, avoid Durham Reality Lab location in Meta. There is a huge tendency in micromanagement by the top momagers here, ignorance and passive aggressive behavior is so rampant here. Poor listening skills and attention to employees is easily observable in high management level. The team is secluded from the rest of the Meta and Reality Labs for unknown reasons, but seems there is a huge tendency to isolate the team from actual Meta's culture. You wont feel inclusion in the environment. Ownership of projects is a challenge here and some people in high levels ignore acknowledge your work and this has become the common big concern between employees here.

Pros

Most Facebookers are amazing and incredibly talented people. Compensation and benefits are unmatched for the role.

Cons

The org I was in had an extremely toxic workplace culture. A lack of any strong leaders in the org only amplified the problems. Morale was consistently low, and very rarely heard colleagues have something good to say about one another when behind closed doors. Not worth the industry leading compensation and benefits.

Pros

Compensation and benefits are really great

Cons

Management - can be really hit or miss. Lots of churn and hard to get a manager that supports you well Better for early career growth than senior career growth Chaos of products to build - we've lacked innovation due to short-term focus on "impact" and just copy our competitors
