      Pros

      I came to Methodist with no healthcare experience and have been so satisfied with the investment my supervisor has made in my job growth. Working in Corporate, there is a lot to learn about both the operational side and the clinical side in order to support our system. Everyone has been patient helping me get up to speed and giving me opportunities to stretch into new areas.

      Cons

      Some things are handled independently at the hospital level and others at the system level. I think there are definite pros to this approach, especially for anyone coming from a mega system where everything was corporate driven, but it can create inconsistencies in experience for both patients and staff.

      Good place to work, but needs better benefits.

      Pros

      If you express interest to move up to management, they will try to help, but the growth is limited, and there are many opportunities for training.

      Cons

      - pay range is limited. - ability for growth within - micromanagement to hit 60 accounts a day - dated equipment and processes. - if you take a (singular) "sick day" it comes from your PTO and not from sick bank. - unrealistic idea that all things need to be fair, firm, and consistent. - CBO that is not located at MDMC is not a part of all the activities within MHS.
