Pros

Supportive management, great sense of belonging, cheap health benefits compered to other hospitals if you stay with Methodist providers.

Cons

Frequent cancelling at times of low census making you use your vacation time. Employer does not offer free short term disability. Health benefits are valued on your health risk factors, the more you have the more expensive. If you don't use Methodist providers, you end up paying hefty out pocket expenses. Chiropractor is not covered, despite knowing that most nurses have chronic back problems.

We constantly work to offer our employees a generous benefits package, and we strive to have the healthiest workforce. In fact, we were named the Healthiest Employer in North Texas. Pros

You get to go home at the end of the day

Cons

To be hired for the job means you will be doing 5 jobs and with no help with scanners, fax machines or supplies at times such as paper or even tape! This practice was taken in because they were going under and Big Methodist took over the first of November 2019. You will have to use your PTO for holidays too. The doctors are nice but really only care about themselves. The EMR system is Epic and you will get very little training and expect to know it explicitly. No one knows what they’re doing and they can’t even hire people to answer the phones.
