Pros

I enjoyed working for my direct reports. They were ethical people who cared about their employees. Good benefits. I was given opportunities to grow in my role. Working for a mission based company is very important to me.

Cons

Brutal politics and bullying puts you on the fast track to success.

Pros

Plenty of opportunity due to high turnover rate

Cons

Actively try to hire people at the lowest possible salary relative to the market. I've heard they aim for the lowest 25% market salary for new employees

Thank you for your feedback. For almost 15 consecutive years, Methodist Health System has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in DFW by the Dallas Business Journal. Our mission, vision, and values anchor our commitment to the communities we serve and to each other. While our system continues to grow to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding population base in North Texas, we are competing with many other healthcare organizations to attract the best and brightest talent. Each year we conduct a market study to ensure that our salaries and benefits are competitive. This is just one of the reasons we hire and retain the highly talented and skilled group of healthcare professionals we are proud to call the Methodist Health System family.

We’re delighted to hear that you felt our team was helpful and always went above and beyond. Valuing our staff and creating a culture of teamwork and appreciation, and where we honor our differences, is critically important to us. That’s why we have monthly staff celebrations, town hall meetings, service awards, employee achievement social posts, softball teams, and an Employee Recognition Program. Our people are our most important asset, and we invest millions of dollars each year to help them succeed professionally and personally.
