Pros
I enjoyed my working with my peers, many of whom were very bright, conscientious nurses.
Cons
When all nurses including your charge RN take 8 patients, they cohort a violent, suicidal patient despite expressing your concerns, you have two techs spread among 30+ patients, the on-call doesn't have enough sense to respond to plummeting blood pressures, and you find yourself filing safe harbor, you quickly realize what you signed up for when you work for HCA. It's profit before patient. Why the Methodist church signed a deal with the devil is beyond me. Oh, and did I mention the 30-year-old charting system? Meditech v 1.0? The entire organization is unsafe.
