      Pros

      There are good and bad just like every company. Due to its size it is really dependent on you department and leader. As someone who has had many roles at different facilities in the organization, I can say it is very dependent on those factors. The benefits are good if you have an HCA close to home for treatment. The PTO accrual is good. Education support is good.

      Cons

      The cons is the high dependency on the where you are. There can be a sense of segregation between the departments and facilities. Some employees are favored due to their relationships.

      Many different ways to help patients and families in this role-education, direct care, research studies.

      Cons

      No awards or recognition unless you talk yourself up to administration. Administration does not pay attention to hard-working, dedicated employees who work there for the patients and don’t spend time gossiping or talking most of the day. You advance by being vocal.

      Healthstream modules are very time consuming and pointless. Staffing in a new hospital means being placed on call a lot.
